Hours of Operation:

Meetings with the building inspector either in town hall or on site are by appointment only.

All appointments can be made between the hours of 8 am and 11 am Monday thru Friday.

Description

The Building Department issues building permits, inspects building construction, enforces Town & 2020 NYS International building codes.

When do you need a Building Permit? 

You need a permit for all new construction with a floor area over 100 square feet, enlargement, alteration, conversion, of a building. A building permit is also required for decks over 100 square feet in area. A permit is also required for a shed over 100 sq ft, and also for a new/replacement above ground or inground swimming pool.
