NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION TO FINANCE
NEW CULVERT UNDER BARTON ROAD
SUBJECT TO PERMISSIVE REFERENDUM
Town of Schaghticoke, New York

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a regular meeting held on July 8, 2026, the Town Board
of the Town of Schaghticoke, New York (the “Town”) duly adopted a resolution, an abstract of
which follows, which resolution is subject to permissive referendum. If a permissive referendum
is sought, the petition requesting a permissive referendum must be filed with the Town Clerk
within 30 days from adoption of the resolution. The purpose of the resolution is to authorize the
Town to finance a replacement culvert under Barton Road. The Note shall not exceed the
principal amount of $710,000 and the interest rate shall not exceed 5.50%. The improvement
shall be financed for a period not to exceed thirty (30) years. A copy of the resolution is on file
with the Town Clerk. The Town Board found that based on the alternatives available to it,
pursuing financing to make the necessary repairs and improvements to Barton Road is in the best
interest of the Town. The Town Board considered the State Environmental Quality Review Act
and found that the financing is a Type 2 action and will not have a negative impact on the
environment. All documents relating to the proposed financing are on file with the Town Clerk.
