Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held by the Town of Schaghticoke Zoning Board of Appeals on October 1, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall, 290 Northline Drive, Melrose, New York to hear all persons interested regarding the application of Matthew Dolan for area variances and a use variance to have chickens and one rooster at property located at 5 Bickford Lane, a .27± acre parcel in the Hamlet Zoning District (Tax Map Parcel 70.15-3-29). The applicant is seeking a use variance from the Zoning Table of Use Regulations for Hamlet Districts and from Section V(N) of the Zoning Law which requires a lot area of 5.0 acres and certain setbacks for the coop. Please be advised that written comments will also be accepted by mailed submission to the attention of the Town Clerk or via email to townclerk@townofschaghticoke.org.
