Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held by the Town of Schaghticoke Zoning Board of Appeals on October 1, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall, 290 Northline Drive, Melrose, New York to hear all persons interested regarding the application of Franklin Whitney for an area variance at property located at 853 Master Street, a 7.23± acre parcel in the RA – Residential Agriculture Zoning District (Tax Map Parcel 14.-1-5.111), to permit an addition to an existing garage. The applicant is seeking an area variance from Section IV(F)(2)(c) of the Zoning Law which requires a side yard setback of 14 feet where only 3.33 feet is proposed. Please be advised that written comments will also be accepted by mailed submission to the attention of the Town Clerk or via email to townclerk@townofschaghticoke.org.
